Coates Gone for Season in Lerna Wednesday, May 18th, 2033 Jimmy Coates of the Lions just might have to call it quits for the season. The 15-year-old Lerna starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Billings West Golden Bears recently at Guadalajara HS Grounds. Coates suffered a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament while throwing a pitch. The Lions medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 10-11 months. This season Coates has 3 wins and 8 losses and a 9.56 ERA. |
