Red-Hot Bat: Horton Collects Cycle Thursday, May 12th, 2033 The Grand Island Islanders wasted a big day at the plate by shortstop Brian Horton today in a 11-6 loss to the Seminole Warhawks. Horton hit for the cycle, stroking 4 hits off the Seminole pitching staff in a losing effort. "I actually didn't feel particularly great out there today," Horton said in the clubhouse following the loss. "It was kind of random chance that the balls found some gaps, and here we are." For the day, he finished 4-for-5, had 2 runs batted in and scored 1 run. Brian Horton tripled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Vinny Corte in the 3rd, hit an RBI single in the 5th, struck out in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.
