Season-Ending Injury for Jim Lucas
Wednesday, May 11th, 2033
Jim Lucas of the Jaguars just might have to call it quits for the season. The 18-year-old Jacksonville State reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the Pleasantville Panthers recently at Chickenhawks Stadium. Lucas suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch. The Jaguars medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 12 months.
For the year Lucas has collected no saves in 10 relief appearances. He has also notched 15 strikeouts and 17 walks in 14.1 innings while registering a 10.67 ERA and a 2-0 won-lost record.
