Nowell Earns PRL Player of the Week Monday, May 9th, 2033 Downsview fans have something to crow about today as Downsview left fielder William Nowell nabbed the Pete Rose League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Nowell. He posted a .591 average (13-for-22) this past week with 3 home runs, 9 RBIs, and 6 runs scored. For the year Nowell has hit at a .397 clip with 58 RBIs, 21 home runs and 48 runs scored. |
