Williams Gone for Season in Billings West
Saturday, May 7th, 2033
The season is finished for Alan Williams of the Billings West Golden Bears. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Golden Bears starting pitcher suffered a torn rotator cuff while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the George Washington Patriots. Team doctors said it would take at least 12-13 months to heal.
This season Williams has a 4-2 mark in 11 starts with a 6.37 ERA. He has given up 85 hits in 59.1 innings, struck out 50 and issued 47 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .339 batting average against him.
