Titans End Makeever's Streak
Wednesday, April 20th, 2033
Marvin Makeever of the Pitman High Panthers came up empty at the plate today and went hitless in 3 at-bats for the first time in 24 games. Making matters even worse for the center fielder, Pitman High dropped the game to the Carl Albert Titans 6-4.
"It was not a good day today," Makeever told the press in postgame comments. "We lost the game and the streak is over."
Makeever has a .377 average and a .439 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 58 hits, 3 home runs and driven in 19 runs.
