Barrage of Hits Gets Conkling PRL Award Monday, April 18th, 2033 Santa Clara Vampires catcher David Conkling had a great time at the plate last week, running up some sensational numbers that no one else could match. Few people were surprised today when the Pete Rose League named him Player of the Week. Conkling banged out 6 hits in 11 at-bats on the way to a .545 batting average. He also racked up 4 home runs, 10 RBIs and 6 runs scored. This year Conkling is batting .282 with 5 home runs and 16 RBIs. In 22 games he has scored 14 times. |
