Injury Sidelines Mark Head For Year
Thursday, April 7th, 2033
The doctors have spoken and Mark Head of the College Park didn't like what he heard. The 15-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Head sustained his season-ending injury during the Pleasantville Panthers game yesterday at Swamp Foxes Stadium. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the College medical staff reported Head had shoulder inflammation and would be absent from the lineup for at least 4 months.
Checking out his stats for the season, Head has registered 2 wins and 1 loss in 5 starts, 4.13 ERA and struck out 28 batters in 28.1 innings.
