Cain 5-for-6 Against Downsview Thursday, March 31st, 2033 It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Ryan Cain today -- a 5-hit day. He went on a rampage and sparkled on the diamond at Osprey Ballpark, but the performance lost a little luster when the Patriots were downed 16-13 by the Downsview Mustangs. After his glittering performance, the George Washington second baseman told the press that he "just tried to get myself in a good count and have a good at-bat." His batting theory paid dividends today as he slammed 5 hits in 6 tries and put his name in the record book. "I just wish we had added a win in the record book today, too," Cain said. Ryan Cain hit a solo-shot off Josh Cargill in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, flied out in the 7th and hit an RBI double in the 9th.
