Lannigan's Hit Streak Reaches 34 Games Tuesday, March 29th, 2033 The number just keeps getting higher. Topeka West right fielder Eddie Lannigan has now extended his hitting string to 34 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 4 at-bats as the Topeka West took the 7-4 win over the San Marin Mustangs at Silvertips Ballpark. "Who knows how long it will go on?" San Marin manager Marcus Piscitelli said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Eddie Lannigan singled in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, singled in the 6th and struck out in the 7th. So far this year in 21 games Lannigan is hitting .500 with 11 home runs, 44 RBIs and 27 runs scored. |
