Chargers Eddie Lannigan Swings Hot Bat, PRL Winner Monday, March 28th, 2033 So far in his young career, Eddie Lannigan has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Pete Rose League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 18-year-old Topeka West Chargers right fielder hit at a torrid .577 clip as he collected 15 hits in 26 at-bats, 2 home runs, 8 RBIs and 11 runs scored. In his stats this season, Lannigan has posted a batting average of .494 with 41 hits in 83 at-bats, 9 home runs and 35 RBIs. He has also scored 24 runs, walked 13 times and compiled a .557 OBP. |
