Hit Streak Now at 31 for Lannigan Saturday, March 26th, 2033 The number just keeps getting higher. Topeka West right fielder Eddie Lannigan has now extended his hitting string to 31 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 4 at-bats as the Topeka West took the 14-2 win over the Pitman High Panthers at Breakers Ballpark. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Pitman High manager Juan Lopez said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Eddie Lannigan struck out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, singled in the 6th and walked in the 8th. This season Lannigan is batting .494 with 39 hits, 9 home runs, 35 RBIs, 12 walks, .554 OBP and has scored 22 runs. He has played in 18 games. |
