Lannigan Extends Hit Streak to 25 Games Saturday, March 19th, 2033 The number just keeps getting higher. Topeka West right fielder Eddie Lannigan has now extended his hitting string to 25 games. He did it today with 2 hits in 7 at-bats as the Topeka West took the 4-2 win over the Santa Clara Vampires at River Otters Ballpark. "Who knows how long it will go on?" Santa Clara manager Juan Proenza said. "He's certainly tough to pitch to right now." Eddie Lannigan singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, grounded out in the 8th, struck out in the 10th, flied out in the 12th and flied out in the 15th. So far this season Lannigan is batting .456 with 7 home runs, 27 RBIs and 13 runs scored. He has 26 hits in 57 at-bats, 6 walks and a .500 OBP. Lannigan has played in 12 games. |
