Bird Boosts Hit Streak to 20 Games Tuesday, March 15th, 2033 Ken Bird collected 1 hit in today's game and extended his hitting streak to 20 games. His club, the Derby Panthers, beat the Santa Clara Vampires 8-7. "Right now, when they throw me the ball, it looks the size of a softball," Bird quipped to a BNN reporter after the game. "I'm excited about how things are clicking." Ken Bird grounded out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th. Thus far this year Bird is hitting .419 with 1 home run, 7 RBIs and 4 runs scored. |
