Hit Streak Now at 20 for Lannigan Monday, March 14th, 2033 Eddie Lannigan's hitting streak is becoming the talk of Topeka West. The 18-year-old right fielder extended it once again today, this time bringing it to 20 games with a 1-for-5 performance against the Downsview Mustangs. The Chargers took the game, 12-4. "People are starting to bring it up to me when I'm around town," he said. "It's getting stressful." Eddie Lannigan flied out in the 1st, walked in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. This season Lannigan has hit at a .531 clip with 21 RBIs, 5 home runs and 8 runs scored. |
