Gibson Spins Shutout Against Panthers Monday, May 17th, 2032 In an outstanding mound performance, Riverside Poly starter Willard Gibson fired a complete-game shutout against the Pleasantville Panthers at Stealth Ballpark today. Gibson was the key to the Poly's 3-0 win. The 16-year-old right-hander was in high spirits on the mount for much of the game, his mood largely undented by the 5 hits and 2 walks he allowed. "5 hits?" he said with a laugh following the game. "Listen, I'd be happy with a 30-hitter as long as it was a shutout." This year Gibson has compiled a 6-3 record with a 3.25 ERA.
