Kratina Rips 3 Homers Against Indians
Thursday, May 6th, 2032
Neal Kratina brutalized the Jefferson Indians pitching staff, launching three home runs in today's 16-6 victory at Ballpark of Monterrey HS. The Seminole Warhawks right fielder was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day.
"I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one."
For the game, he went 4-for-5 with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored.
"Too much Neal Kratina today," Indians manager Dan Miller said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to."
Neal Kratina hit a solo-shot off John Bice in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Matt Lieber in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, hit a two-run single in the 5th, hit a solo-shot off Bob Maloney in the 7th and walked in a run in the 8th.
Looking at his season stats, Kratina has compiled a .291 batting average and a .432 on-base percentage, while hitting 15 home runs and driving in 53 runs.
