Super Swinger -- Phillips Slams 5 Hits Saturday, May 1st, 2032 No matter what the Montreal Cardinals threw at him today, John Phillips hit it. He easily handled Cardinals pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Lancers to a 11-6 triumph at Nezahualcoyotl HS Grounds. "The way I was swinging today, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview. Told of Phillips's quip, Cardinals skipper Hector Corretjer said he "would take him up on that next time." John Phillips singled in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Antonio Pichardo in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
