It's Over: Cardinals Stop Keeley
Monday, April 26th, 2032
The hitting streak that Billings West second baseman David Keeley had kept going for 21 games was ended today by the Kearny High Cardinals. Keeley was stymied over 3 at-bats today, but the rest of his team picked him up, taking the 4-1 victory at Guadalajara HS Grounds.
"Hitting streaks come and go," Keeley said. "It did put a little pressure on me. It's hard to be natural at the plate with something like that always in the back of your mind. If it had to end, I'm glad it was in a win."
Keeley's current batting average stands at .333 and he has chalked up 4 home runs and 13 RBIs.
