Indians Starting Pitcher Schwartz Hurt
Tuesday, April 20th, 2032
The doctors have spoken and Chris Schwartz of the Jefferson Indians didn't like what he heard. The 17-year-old starting pitcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Schwartz sustained his season-ending injury during the San Marin Mustangs game yesterday at Silvertips Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Jefferson medical staff reported Schwartz had a torn labrum and would be absent from the lineup for at least 14 months.

His record this year is 1-1 in 0 starts and Schwartz has a 1.13 ERA.
