Hemingway Shuts Out Tigers Thursday, April 8th, 2032 Sam Hemingway held the Tioga Central Tigers to 8 hits and fashioned a fine 5-0 shutout at Managua HS Grounds today. Speaking after the game, Derby Panthers manager Daniel Hills said "Hemingway had everything going for him today." He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement," he said. "He was masterful." Hemingway rung up 2 strikeouts and surrendered 2 walks in the game. "We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," Tioga Central manager Gabriel McKinnes told reporters. To this point in the season, Hemingway has put up these figures: 3-3 record, no relief appearances with 49.2 innings, no saves, 34 strikeouts, 18 walks and a 1.45 ERA.
