Crouch Cracks 5 Hits Wednesday, April 7th, 2032 Jon Crouch told the press after his 5-hit day, "Every batter wants to have a quality at-bat every time he steps up to the plate. He wants to hit the ball hard." Well, that's just what Crouch of the Kearny High Cardinals did against the Seminole Warhawks. He went to the plate 6 times and 5 times he delivered base hits, but his club still suffered a 12-11 defeat. "Not much I can say," offered Crouch in the postgame press conference. "I got a bunch of hits, but it would have been much better to get a win. Can I trade 5 hits for the win?" Jon Crouch singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
