5-Hit Game for Lapham Saturday, March 27th, 2032 Bill Lapham exploded for a barrage of base hits today at Ballpark of Villahermosa HS. The Canby left fielder had a field day in the 21-9 triumph over the Carl Albert Titans, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Lapham must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Bill Lapham hit a two-run home run off Aiden McMullen in the 1st, hit a three-run home run off Aiden McMullen in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Steve Rankin in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Steve Rankin in the 5th, singled in the 6th and walked in the 8th.
