Hitting Streak Still Alive for Brandenburg

Tioga Central lost to the Pleasantville Panthers 6-4 at Alleycats Ballpark today, but Mike Brandenburg kept his consecutive-game hitting streak alive with 1 hit. The Tigers right fielder has now delivered hits in 20 straight games.
"Mike has a nice streak going, but the scoreboard tells the important story today," Tioga Central manager Gabriel McKinnes told reporters after the game. "We lost, no matter how many hits anyone had." Mike Brandenburg walked in the 1st, singled in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, was hit by a pitch in the 7th and struck out in the 8th.
Brandenburg is batting at a .472 pace this season, picking up 34 hits in 72 at-bats with 7 home runs, 20 RBIs and 22 runs scored.
