The Kearny High Cardinals whipped the Pleasantville Panthers 13-5 and left fielder Gary Hafer showed off a hot bat, going 5-for-5 at the plate. "Some days, lady luck is on your side," Hafer told BNN reporters after the game. Cardinals manager Seth Richert told the beat writers otherwise, calling the 18-year-old "focused and patient."
