Adkinson Selected CL's Premier Player Tuesday, August 15th, 2034 He may have less experience than most of his NIPPON BASEBALL LEAGUE peers, but that didn't slow Dustin Adkinson down at all in 2034. At the age of 21, the Chunichi right fielder has been named the winner of the Central League Most Valuable Player Award. He had a .403 batting average and a .493 on-base percentage this year. In 58 games he piled up 93 hits, 17 doubles, no triples, 23 home runs, 67 RBIs and 58 runs scored. "I'm blown away by the season I was able to put together," he said. "I'm looking forward to trying to do it all again next year." Tsutomu Mori of the Hanshin Tigers finished second in voting, while Hiromi Nagao of the Yomiuri Giants finished third. |
