Kato Heads PL Best Player List
Tuesday, August 15th, 2034
The manager of the Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters said he thinks Takahiro Kato is only going to get better as he gets older.
He may only be 21, but it will be hard to top the right fielder's 2034 campaign, as he has been named the winner of the Pacific League Most Valuable Player Award.
His winning campaign featured a .359 batting average and a .461 on-base percentage this year. In 58 games he piled up 84 hits, 19 doubles, no triples, 29 home runs, 80 RBIs and 54 runs scored.
Kaiji Nagata of the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks finished second in voting, while Keita Sato of the ORIX Buffaloes finished third.
