Bay Stars Come up Short of Playoffs Saturday, July 22nd, 2034 It's the better-luck-next-time point of the season for the Yokohama Bay Stars. The club was officially eliminated from playoff contention today, and will turn their attention to next year's campaign. "You know, the average player doesn't get that many seasons, so every time you're eliminated, it hurts," said Bay Stars starting pitcher Yoshiyuki Matsuda. This is the club's 13th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2021. In total, the Bay Stars have missed the playoffs 20 times in their 22-year history. |
