Swallows Takamatsu Lost for Year Monday, July 17th, 2034 A blow for Ryozo Takamatsu today -- team doctors confirmed he will miss 4 months with shoulder inflammation. Takamatsu suffered the injury throwing a pitch. Although officials from the Tokyo Yakult Swallows are confident he'll make a full recovery, doubts will persist about Takamatsu's ability to return fully fit with an injury of this nature. This year Takamatsu has earned no saves, worked 15.1 innings, fanned 12 hitters and recorded a 6.46 ERA. He has also put up a 0-1 won-lost mark. |
