Fukuoka SoftBank Loses Mitchell for Year Monday, July 17th, 2034 The season is ending on a bad note for Mike Mitchell, reliever for the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. It was announced today that he will miss the rest of the season because of injury. Mitchell was hurt against the ORIX Buffaloes while throwing a pitch. He suffered a damaged elbow ligament and will be out for at least 11-12 months. Thus far this season Mitchell has compiled a 3-2 record, made no relief appearances with no saves, hurling 38.1 innings and striking out 30. He has held the opposition to a .286 batting average with a 6.10 ERA. |
