PL's #1 Player Named Monday, May 29th, 2034 21-year-old Hisanobu Mukai made a few Tohoku Rakuten headlines during this past week as the rookie left fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Pacific League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 12 hits in 21 at-bats to put up a .571 average. Mukai collected 2 home runs, 6 RBIs and scored 8 runs. |
