Cy Young Award Presented by CL Thursday, April 13th, 2034 Yoshiyuki Matsuda was the most outstanding pitcher in the Central League this year and today was acclaimed the Cy Young Award winner for his efforts. Matsuda had a marvelous season, going 3-1 with an impressive 0.94 ERA in 5 starts. He struck out 20 in 28.2 innings and limited opposing batters to a .210 batting average. Scott Schaefers of the Hanshin Tigers finished second in voting, while Ryuzo Ishiguro of the Hanshin Tigers finished third. |
