PL's Premier Batter Picked Friday, April 1st, 2033 Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters fans believe they've got a talented young star in Ikumasa Shintani. He did nothing to dissuade that notion in March, as he hit .328 with 7 home runs, 15 RBIs and 19 runs scored. The end result was the first baseman being named the Pacific League Batter of the Month. In 61 games this season Shintani is batting .325 with 81 hits and 20 home runs. He has scored 41 runs and driven in 50. |
