Hawks Come up Short of Playoffs Wednesday, March 30th, 2033 It's a "gut-wrenching feeling," Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks right fielder Takatomi Yamamoto said, for the team to have gotten so close to a playoff berth, only to be eliminated in the waning days of the season. The club was officially eliminated from the postseason chase today. Fukuoka SoftBank last appeared in the postseason in 2029. This is their 3rd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 16 times in their 20-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Hawks have missed the playoffs 7 times. Fukuoka SoftBank has won the Japan Series Championship 2 times in their history. |
