Golden Eagles Come up Short of Playoffs Sunday, March 27th, 2033 It "never gets easier" to have a playoff push come to an end, according to left fielder Kyotaka Okazaki of the Tohoku Rakuten Golden Eagles. The Tohoku Rakuten player said his club was banking on being able to push themselves into the postseason, but they are now mathematically eliminated. Before this season, the Golden Eagles last missed the playoffs in 2030. In the 20 years they have been a NIPPON BASEBALL LEAGUE franchise, they have missed the playoffs 15 times. In the last 10 years, they have missed the playoffs 7 times. Tohoku Rakuten last won the Japan Series Championship in 2031. |
