No Late-Season Magic Coming: ORIX Out of Playoffs Sunday, March 27th, 2033 Members of the ORIX Buffaloes sat in stunned silence in their clubhouse, adjusting to the knowledge that they had lost their chance for a playoff berth this year. "We really thought we had the team to get into the playoffs," said first baseman Rob Warkins. The Buffaloes have missed the playoffs 16 times in their 20 years as a NIPPON BASEBALL LEAGUE franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 4th in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 2028. In the last 10 seasons, the Buffaloes have missed the playoffs 7 times. ORIX has won the Japan Series Championship 3 times in their history. |
