May's PL Batter of Month Award Announced Tuesday, June 1st, 2032 Hokkaido Nippon-Ham Fighters fans believe they've got a talented young star in Takahiro Kato. He did nothing to dissuade that notion in May, as he hit .397 with 8 home runs, 19 RBIs and 16 runs scored. The end result was the left fielder being named the Pacific League Batter of the Month. In his stats this season, Kato has posted a batting average of .402 with 72 hits in 179 at-bats, 18 home runs and 55 RBIs. He has also scored 43 runs, walked 30 times and compiled a .498 OBP. |
