Shiba Hits 3 Homers Against Chunichi
Monday, May 17th, 2032
The "hardest feat in sports" debate is a never-ending one with no correct answer, but hitting three home runs is certainly in the conversation. That's exactly what Kumeo Shiba did today at Ballpark of Nakashibetsu College, going deep three times and carrying his team to victory, 16-6.
"It all came together. I was seeing the ball well and I got some good pitches to hit," Shiba said. "Good things happen, when that happens."
The Hanshin Tigers catcher blistered the Chunichi Dragons for 4 hits, batted in 6 runs and scored 3 times.
"It ain't like we weren't trying," Chunichi manager Nick Murphy said. "He was hot and really torched my boys today."
Kumeo Shiba hit a solo-shot off Teruo Matsumoto in the 3rd, struck out in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Tom Woodral in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Hau Ngo in the 8th and doubled in the 8th.
Posting a .329 batting average to date, Shiba has 4 home runs and 15 RBIs.
