Tanaka Ups Hit Streak to 20 Consecutive Games Saturday, April 24th, 2032 Kuniaki Tanaka continued his streak at Ballpark of Aomori College today, even as the ballgame did not go his way. The Saitama Seibu right fielder was 1-for-5 in today's contest and now has hit safely in his last 20 games. The Lions were not as fortunate, losing 11-5 to the Fukuoka SoftBank Hawks. "Tanaka was hitting everything we threw at him," said Fukuoka SoftBank manager Vincent Crockett. "He is a tough out. Fortunately, things went our way in the ballgame today and we came away with a win." Kuniaki Tanaka grounded out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, doubled in the 5th, flied out in the 6th and flied out in the 9th. So far this season Tanaka has hit .396 with 11 home runs, 28 RBIs and scored 24 times. |
