Giants Snap Dunlap's Streak at 23 Monday, April 5th, 2032 The Chunichi Dragons lost to the Yomiuri Giants 9-3 today at Ballpark of Yamagata College, but perhaps the bigger news was the end of Danny Dunlap's 23-game hitting streak. The first baseman went 0-for-3 on the day. "We felt if we could slow down Dunlap, we would win the game," Giants manager Masato Ojima explained. "They really seemed to feed off his streak, so we tried to put more emphasis on shutting him down." On the year Dunlap is hitting .448 with 13 hits, 1 home run, 4 RBIs, .579 OBP and has scored 8 runs. |
