Burt Kavanagh Picked Canada Pro Feeder's Best Player
Friday, August 4th, 2034
At the age of 21, Burt Kavanagh of the Saskatoon Legends could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2034 was good enough to win the right fielder the CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .358 batting average this year, as well as a .462 on-base percentage. He played 56 games and racked up 77 hits, 9 doubles, no triples, 31 home runs, 72 RBIs and 53 runs scored.
Walton Varner of the Saskatoon Legends finished second in voting, while Zack Hogan of the London Monarchs finished third.
