Avery Diamond Injured, Out for Year
Tuesday, July 11th, 2034
Avery Diamond has to call it a season. The Trois-Rivieres Saints closer sustained a season-ending injury against the London Monarchs and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Diamond was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a ruptured ulnar collateral ligament and stated that he would not be able to play for 11-12 months.

In 21 relief appearances this year, Diamond has thrown 23.1 innings, struck out 36 and collected 3 saves. His won-lost record is 1-3 with a 5.40 ERA.
