Varner Gets June's Top Pitcher Trophy Saturday, July 1st, 2034 Over the past month Walton Varner has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE. He proved all that and now he's been named June's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Saskatoon Legends posted 4-0 mark and a 2.54 ERA. In 5 starts he tossed 28.1 innings, permitted 16 hits and fanned 45 batters. So far this year Varner has a 6-1 record with a 2.06 ERA. |
