Legends Gunter Gone for Year
Friday, May 19th, 2034
The doctors have spoken and Brian Gunter of the Saskatoon Legends didn't like what he heard. The 21-year-old closer is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Gunter sustained his season-ending injury during the Montreal Royales game yesterday at Eliminators Ballpark. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while throwing a pitch. Today the Saskatoon medical staff reported Gunter had a torn flexor tendon in his elbow and would be absent from the lineup for at least 13 months.

To this point in the season, Gunter has 4 saves in 8 relief appearances with a 1-0 mark and 1.00 ERA. He has 15 strikeouts in 9 innings with 3 walks.
