Royales Come up Short of Playoffs Wednesday, July 13th, 2033 Montreal Royales closer Stephen Lau said his team's effort to get into the playoffs fell "heartbreakingly short." But that's the situation they are faced with, as the club was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today. Montreal last appeared in the postseason in 2028. This is their 5th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 11 times in their 21-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Royales have missed the playoffs 7 times. Montreal has won the CBL League Championship 4 times in their history. |
