Steele and Norton Suspended for Free-for-All Tuesday, May 24th, 2033 At a recent Legends-Royales contest at Ballpark of Red Deer College, Eddie Steele of Saskatoon took exception to what Mike Norton of Montreal said to him and tackled him. This led to an old-fashioned bench-clearing free-for-all between the two clubs. After the umpires restored order, they ejected both players. Today the league commissioner's office took action and suspended each player for 3 games, citing them for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct." To date this year Steele is batting .397 with 8 home runs. |
