Boone Gets 5 Hits Saturday, May 21st, 2033 The 5th time was not the charm for Gilbert Boone today. The center fielder for the Montreal Royales hit the milestone today at Corvettes Ballpark, but it was the Calgary Outlaws that salvaged a 10-4 victory. Boone finished with a 5-for-5 line at the plate, and it still wasn't enough. "He was not an easy out, that's for sure," Calgary manager Kiminobu Kamida said to the press in the postgame interview. "I'm just glad we held everybody else in check and got the win." Boone declined to speak to reporters at length following the game, saying only that "no loss is a good one." Gilbert Boone singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Davy Holland in the 5th, doubled in the 7th and singled in the 8th.
