London Pitcher Gets Most Valuable Player Award
Friday, April 8th, 2033
He's only 20 years old, but Zack Hogan of the London Monarchs has clearly established himself as a star of CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE.
His status grew today as the ace pitcher was named the winner of the 2032 CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE Most Valuable Player Award.
"I just want to pitch well and win games," he said. "The awards are nice though."
Hogan's award-winning season saw him put up a 8-1 record through 13 starts, throwing 73.2 innings. He had 89 strikeouts with 20 walks and a 3.30 ERA. Opponents hit only .241 against him during the season.
Randy Stackhouse of the Calgary Outlaws finished second in voting, while Eddie Steele of the Saskatoon Legends finished third.
