Hit Streak Now at 20 for Valcourt Wednesday, March 9th, 2033 Kirk Valcourt, first baseman for the London Monarchs, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 20 games with 1 hit in his club's 4-3 victory today over the Saskatoon Legends at Ballpark of Red Deer College today. "I don't really know why it's even happening," he said with a grin after the game. "So asking me how long I can keep it up is kind of irrelevant. It'll end when it ends." Kirk Valcourt singled in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, grounded out in the 5th and walked in the 8th. So far this season Valcourt has gotten 74 hits in 193 at-bats for a .383 batting average with 7 home runs. His stats include 29 RBIs and 39 runs scored. He has played in 46 games. |
