Smith and Zinter Fight, Suspended 3 Games Wednesday, May 10th, 2034 The fans at Gremlins Ballpark saw it all yesterday in the Hurricanes-Yellow Jackets game -- pushes, shoves, scuffles, a few tackles, a few swings, a few feeble punches -- and a baseball game, too. When the ruckus was over, only two players were sent to the showers by the umpire crew. Miami's William Smith and Georgia Tech's Nate Zinter were ejected from the game. Today the two players were suspended 3 games by the league commissioner. This season Smith is hitting .366 with 1 home run. |
